Savalan LLC was founded in 2009 by Negin Shakibi who has built a team of professionals with expertise in working with accounting firms, multinational corporations, and professional services firms.
Her team brings diversified knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate strategy, and audit support.
Our experienced professionals are well-versed in administrative, operational and financial functions across a wide range of organizations, including businesses, non-profits, international companies, and government agencies.
The goal at Savalan is to offer depth and breadth to financial operations. We provide clients with the financial and operational management guidance required to make strategic decisions for successful, sustainable growth.
Negin Shakibi
Founding Principal
Negin Shakibi, a finance professional with over 25 years of experience, founded Savalan LLC to help clients achieve lasting growth. Since 2009, Savalan has helped clients in a variety of industries successfully manage growth and reach their profitability potential.
Prior to founding Savalan, LLC, Negin was vice president of finance and provided overall financial management for a $670 million line of business at Affiliated Computer Services (ACS). Negin also spent six years as a senior manager/director at KPMG, where, among other tasks, she led a multi-year, multimillion dollar federal outsourcing operation.
Earlier in her career, Negin worked at Automatic Data Processing (ADP), where she held two key positions, most recently as internal financial controls manager ensuring business-unit operations aligned with the company’s corporate objectives in its $3.6 billion Employer Services Group. She also served as controller for several business units within ADP’s Benefits Administration Division. Negin began her career in a non-profit environment and currently serves several non-profit organizations working with the federal government.
The hallmarks of Negin’s career are an ability to gauge the financial implications of every decision, the capacity to build scalable infrastructure, and a commitment that leads to lasting results. Now as a trusted advisor to a wide range of clients, she is determined to leverage her expertise to help small to midsize businesses grow and thrive.
Negin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Richmond and a Master of Business Administration, with honors, from George Washington University.
Kristy David
Managing Director
Kristy David, Managing Director at Savalan, advises on complex infrastructure finance transactions, federal credit programs, public-private partnerships, and capital structures that blend public and private sources of financing.
She has more than twenty years of project finance advisory experience and has guided transactions totaling more than $100 billion across sectors including energy, transportation, water, and infrastructure.
She has served as an Independent Financial Advisor to the U.S. DOT Build America Bureau on TIFIA and RRIF transactions, and has advised on financings under WIFIA, MARAD Title XI, and EXIM Bank programs. She advises export credit agencies, multilaterals, commercial banks, sponsors, investors, and borrowers including private companies, municipalities, and local governments – on projects of global and regional significance.
Kristy has a BA in Economics from New York University and an MA in International Finance and International Energy Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
Lisa Winkler
Commercial Accounting Group Lead
Lisa Winkler is an accounting professional with over 15 years of experience and leads Savalan’s accounting division. Having joined the team in 2014, Lisa provides accounting and financial analysis to various companies including day-to-day accounting services, monthly and yearly financial reporting, and auditor support.
Prior to Savalan, Lisa worked for a Delaware accounting firm, Horty & Horty PA, where she supervised audits, reviews, compilations, and financial analysis of various small to mid-sized non-profit, manufacturing, gaming, and construction clients.
Additionally, Lisa worked for Sony Electronics Corporation as an Accounting Supervisor where she developed a deeper understanding of the corporate budgeting process and month-end closings. Lisa started her career as an auditor for Arthur Andersen where she developed her auditing skills through a variety of large and mid-sized companies.
Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware and is a former CPA in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Dana Mayer
FP&A Lead
Dana Mayer is a finance professional with over 15 years of experience and leads Savalan’s finance division. Since joining the team in 2018, Dana has supported Savalan’s commercial and government clients with financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting services.
Before joining Savalan, Dana has held roles in companies including Equifax, MCI, and First Chicago NBD building a broad background in FP&A, Mergers & Acquisition, Treasury Services, commercial lending, credit underwriting, and nonprofit finance. Her experience includes company valuations, conducting due diligence, credit analysis, and strategic budgeting and forecasting.
Dana holds an MBA from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northwestern University.
